STORY

Doekit was born in Riverclan to Stagfall and Streampelt along with her littermate Spottedkit.

Doepaw was made into an apprentice alongside her littermate, Spottedpaw, at 6 moons of age.

Shortly after Doeheart and Spottedbuck's warrior ceremonies, Stagfall and Streampelt had another litter of kits including Dapplekit, Tigerkit, and Iciclekit. While Spottedbuck focused on his warrior duties, Doeheart always made time to help her mother with the new kits. Yet, even with Stagfall as an active father, and the doting of both Streampelt and their older sister Doeheart, Dapplekit was taken by a random case of greencough late in the leafbare season. Doeheart stayed by her mother's side through the grief of loss and helped to be a support system for Dapplekit's littermates, seeing Tigerkit and Iciclekit through their apprentice and eventually warrior ceremonies. By this time, Doeheart had considered herself blessed when her own littermate had kits of his own that were now 2 moons old. Spottedbuck had found his perfect match in Sagewhisper in that the two agreed to have kits and raise them mutually with little further interaction between the two of them. Doeheart took it upon herself happily to be the warmth she felt Eveningkit and Codkit were missing in their pair of parents.

Even with Doeheart's inclination towards family and the joys of being involved in a large extended familial unit, she felt no rush to have kits of her own. She loved being an aunt to her brother's kits, even after Spottedbuck was killed in a mudslide shortly before Codkit and Eveningkit's apprentice ceremonies (of little consequence to his now rather estranged family, though Streampelt and Doeheart felt the loss). At this time, Streampelt was pregnant with Stagfall's third litter. They were born the moon Spottedbuck was killed so the two named the tom kit Buckkit in honor of their late eldest son and the she-kit Streamkit. Not long after, Icicledrop went missing from the clan. She'd grown distant in the moons leading up to her disappearance and Doeheart had already formed suspicions of her seeing an outsider so it was easily assumed that she left with an outsider mate.

At 36 moons old, with no rush to begin a family of her own, Doeheart met Sleethound of Thunderclan over the border. She grew instantly smitten by him and after leaving him that fateful day, could not get him off her mind. The following few moons brought more meetings and even stronger feelings growing within Doeheart until Sleethound eventually stopped showing up at the border. Shortly after, Doeheart found herself pregnant with his kits though she never saw him again to tell him about it. She was excited to be carrying his kits, soothing her own heartbreak with hopes of seeing Sleethound again one day, excusing him in her own mind with thoughts of him being busy. A relationship across borders was anything but easy but she maintained hope that Sleethound was okay and they could make it work. Until the gathering before she kitted, Cinderstar announced Sleethound had been exiled for intentionally pushing an apprentice out of a tree. Doeheart could not believe it but has since turned her attentions to her kits, focusing on their well-being. Shortly before she kitted her own litter, she came upon a litter of kits whose mother was an outsider who'd died kitting them. Without a second thought she brought the five surviving kits (Magnoliakit, Flintkit, Elkkit, Falconkit, and Heronkit) home with her, where she then kitted her own (Firekit, Shellkit, Brightkit, and Bearkit) a couple weeks later.

One tragedy or mishap followed the next through her kits' kithood, ultimately leaving all but one of her offspring either dead or missing. She struggled for moons to keep herself from falling into a depression for the sake of her remaining Elkkit. She ended up finding Aldermane and she found herself feeling joy again, looking forward to the future and being hopeful once more. Everything was looking up, and when she discovered she was pregnant with Aldermane's kits she found she was happy, guarded and unsure but happy. She had her mate at her side for the coming kits.

Heavily pregnant, she experienced yet another lost leader. During a meeting Pikestar was bombarded with yowls from their clanmates until the leader ultimately stepped down on the spot. What followed was a turmoil of her clanmates fighting. She took a walk to clear her head, nervous again about what she'd be bringing these kits into, Riverclan was no longer the clan it had been when she was growing up and she was finally allowing herself to see it. But while she was out walking the beach, she was abducted. An old battered rogue had had a dream for many moons of having a family of his own but he had been trapped, neutered, and released so he'd been unsuccessful his whole life. But then he saw the opportunity walking the beach in the form of an already heavily pregnant lone queen. He took Doeheart to his home underground and held her there until she gave birth to her five kits. She tried to keep the memory and honor of Aldermane being their father but the rogue was overtly claiming them as his own. While the rogue was no longer forcibly keeping Doeheart captive anymore, he would not let the kits out of his sight, so to leave would mean she'd be leaving all of hers and Aldermane's kits with the rogue.
