STORY
Beetle was born to a loner mother in the forest outside of Riverclan territory. A couple moons after his birth, he was separated from his family and lost. He was found by a Riverclan patrol at the border and taken in by a Riverclan queen. Beetlekit assimilated easily, with a seemingly natural affinity to the water (a Riverclan father he never knew about?), and made friends easily.
After his adoptive mother died, he decided to set out in search of his biological parents to figure out why they never cared enough to come looking for him when he went missing.
He tracked down a she-cat who was rumored to have been a loner and had lots of kits in Thunderclan so he joined amidst their turmoil. He never got a chance to talk to the she-cat known amongst the clan as Leafecho and she disappeared shortly after Shadowclan’s takeover so Beetleshell left the clan to continue his search.
Soon after leaving Thunderclan, Beetleshell found a she-cat known as Delphic. The cunning loner claimed to know of a she-cat who had many grown kits she was now searching for to make amends. Beetle decided to stick with the loner in the hopes of finding his mother, or at least learning more about who she could’ve been.
Beetle quickly discovered in Delphic a profound and unexplained hatred for the clans. This came to a head when Beetle was forced to choose between his love for an old friend from Riverclan, Codwhisper, and his newfound loyalty and promise to his partner, Delphic. Ultimately he stood back and allowed Delphic to kill his kit- and apprentice-hood best friend in the hopes of learning more about his mother.
